This is Beauty

I have this perfect idea of how my life should go.... White house, wrap around porch, fenced in yard, dogs, kids, the perfect husband, a blog that everyone loves, gym classes and meeting with ladies at church everyday, crafts and decor galore....Did I mention having the perfect, full, beautiful closet that only celebs have? God is funny sometimes in that he actually has His own perfect plan for my life! Crazy, huh?! I am excited to embark on this journey with Him to figure out my next day in this plan, heck, even just the next step on the path that leads to the next day, which leads to the next week, to the next month, year, decade. Now, don't get me wrong, these desires are of my heart and my heart is panting after God so I truly believe these are major aspects of what He wants for me, but I am anxious to see what His plan for me is. I am ready to hear His promises for me, His beloved child, whispered at night when I'm weak and during a successful moment when I feel strong. God allows for these feeble human lives to knock us down so that we can grow in His wisdom, in accordance to His will, in hope for the future, and in TRUST that He will never forsake or leave us.

How do I know this? He loves me enough to watch His son, a part of Him, hang in agony, feeling each of my sins as rusted iron drove into His flesh. That's how much my God loves me and that's how I know His plan is perfect.

Pray for me as I embrace this truth. Pray for me as I seek His face. Pray for beauty to come out of ashes.

My future is bright. God has plans for me that are perfect. To prosper, not harm me. For hope and a future. God never intended for hurt, for heartache. His heart aches when we are broken, but that same brokenness strengthens, purifies, sharpens, and molds. THAT is some exciting stuff!!!

"Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:    Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.    His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.  Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.    For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;  and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;  and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.  For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.    Therefore, my brothers and sisters,  make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,  and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:1-11)
